This statement is intended to provide you with an understanding of our collection, use and protection of private and confidential information.
What You Should Know
We recognize our obligation to keep information about you secure and confidential. It's important for you to know that we do not share member information and non-member client information with marketers outside of the AAA Minneapolis club, our business lines and/or our preferred vendors that deliver you savings. If you so desire, you may tell us you don't want to receive direct marketing offers from us or from our preferred vendors.
We carefully manage information within the Club, among our own business lines and preferred vendors to assist you in roadside emergency and automobile repair services, and to provide or connect you with travel services, insurance, travel store, financial services, repair services and related club products. Our goal is give you better service and more convenience, and to improve our overall services to you.
What This Statement Covers
This policy covers member and non-member client information, which includes personal information about a member or a non-member client’s current or former relationship with AAA Minneapolis.

Collecting Information
We collect and use various types of information to service your requests, save you time and money, and better understand your needs. We want to help you learn more about club services that may make your life safer and more enjoyable, or may be of interest to you.
We categorize member or non-member client information that we collect as being one of the following four types:
- Information you provide to us (on applications, requests for products, services and payments, etc.);
- Information about your use of Club services, such as emergency roadside assistance requests, travel, travel store, insurance and financial services purchases, license services, Show Your Card & Save purchases, trip plans and other related Club services;
- Information from other AAA or CAA clubs regarding membership transfers or requests for services outside the AAA Minneapolis area; and
- Other general information we obtain about you that may help us better serve you, such as demographic information, service preferences, service history, etc.
Managing Information for Your Convenience
Sharing Information with Companies that Help Us Deliver Services to YouWe may share member and non-member client information with companies that work with us to provide you products and services. We share the information in order to provide you a good customer experience. These companies may include our preferred vendors, such as servicing garages, group tour companies and other AAA clubs. All of these companies are contractually obligated to keep the information that we provide to them confidential and they use the information only to provide the services we've asked them to perform for you and us.
Disclosing Information in Other Situations
We may also disclose member and non-member client information when required by law. Such disclosures may include those in connection with a subpoena or similar legal process, or a fraud investigation.
Honoring Your Preferences
You have choices when it comes to learning about new offers and services from AAA Minneapolis. You can choose not to receive savings opportunities and marketing offers by mail, phone and/or e-mail from us or from our preferred vendors.

In order to ensure that we accurately reflect your request, please provide your full name and street address, member number, telephone number and e-mail address, along with your preferences for no mail, no phone, and/or no e-mail. Please note that it may take six to eight weeks to make your request fully effective. Even if you elect not to receive product and service information by direct mail, telemarketing and/or e-mail, you will continue to be contacted as necessary to service your membership, as well as receive the AAA Home & Away Magazine and receive marketing information included with your regular renewal mailings or when you visit us online.
