Description

At AAA Minneapolis, we are dedicated to providing exceptional roadside assistance and services to our members.  As part of our commitment to excellence, we are expanding our fleet operations and ensuring top-notch delivery of service.  We are seeking a passionate and experienced Roadside Service Manager to lead our fleet operations, drive strategic initiatives, and foster partnerships that enhance member experiences.

Position Overview:

The Roadside Service Manager will provide leadership for our fleet operations, including the development of a club-operated fleet and build strong relationships with external roadside partners.  In this role you will ensure that our team has the tools, resources, and direction needed to deliver outstanding service to our members.  You will play a key part in driving fleet performance, safety, and efficiency, while continuously enhancing service quality and response times.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for developing, designing and implementing fleet goals, strategies, initiatives, and objectives.
  • Collaborates with the Dispatch Supervisor monitor and improve the quality of service and response time of the fleet operations
  • Sets goals for fleet team members and provides regular and frequent coaching to ensure team is meeting objectives of the organization, has appropriate career development guidance, and identifies problem areas and takes corrective action when needed
  • Fosters an environment of exceptional customer service, effective communication, partnership, and teamwork within member services and our internal/external business partners
  • Partners with third party facilities to ensure high-quality service delivery and optimal performance monitoring performance and providing feedback to address any concerns
  • Ensures an ideal support model for our members by establishing appropriate facility and driver coverage across club territory
  • Assist in the planning, development and management of small club-operated fleet
  • Ensure the club-operated fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and efficiency
  • Coordinates vehicle maintenance, order supplies, inventory and distributes necessary tools, parts and supplies
  • Develop strategies to optimize fleet deployment between the third-party facilities and club-owned fleet to optimize the member experience and minimize downtime
  • Ensures all fleet operations comply with relevant regulations, safety standards and AAA policies.
  • Promotes a culture of safety within the fleet operations team and third-party partners
  • Performs other related duties assigned by management

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the automotive or roadside assistance field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role
  • 6 months or more AAA work experience preferred
  • Previous experience with dispatch and/or fleet management systems strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems
