Travel Services Representative - St. Louis Park or Maple Grove

Job Summary
We are looking for well-traveled candidates with a passion for helping customers create life-long memories through travel. Previous leisure travel planning experienced preferred, but not required.
The Travel Services Representative is responsible for working with clients to maximize revenue and profitability by fostering client relationships and closing sales that generate repeat business. Must determine destination, modes of transportation, travel dates, costs, and sell AAA Preferred Supplier travel packages, tours and cruises to match the customer’s needs and preferences. Compensation includes base pay plus travel and membership commissions.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Interact with members over the telephone and in person to assist with driving trips by marking maps and processing Triptiks.

Make hotel and car reservations as well as domestic airline and package reservations.

Provide information to customers regarding the benefits of a AAA membership and promote the advantages of memberships and upgrades as well as other AAA products and services.

Create customer travel invoices, collect payments and prepare travel documents for travel advisors.

Assist with and complete online check-in for cruise, tour and airline bookings

Email customers (on advisor’s behalf) with need-to-know information and travel tips for upcoming trips.

Assist advisors with making customer schedule changes when necessary.

Maintain the upkeep of the Travel Store including maintaining inventory, straightening and organizing.
Additional Maple Grove Branch Responsibilities:

Greet customers and assist them with Travel Store purchases and transactions.

Provide office support by taking customer calls for the branch office as well as assisting with overflow calls from other branch offices when necessary.
Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 6 months of customer service, retail or sales experience.

Professional leisure travel planning experience preferred.
