Zero Proof Holiday Mocktail: Chocolate Peppermint Martini

This glass of Christmas in a cup is simple to make and super easy to tweak to suit your preferences for chocolate and mint!

This recipe makes 1 4 oz. serving.

Ingredients

  • Lime
  • Peppermint/Candy Cane
  • 3 oz. Milk – Whole or 2%
  • 1 oz. Vanilla Syrup
  • Cocoa powder
  • Ice

Utensils

  • Martini Glass
  • knife
  • Martini Shaker
  • Dish/Plate

Directions

  1. Crush candy cane/peppermint candy until it ranges from a fine powder to small chunks
  2. Slice Lime and wet the rim of the glass with it
  3. Dip glass into the crushed peppermint to line the rim
  4. Put Milk, vanilla syrup and ice into martini shaker and shake until well mixed
  5. Pour liquid into the martini glass and sprinkle with coco powder
  6. Serve immediately

Tips and Substitutions

  • For a creamier drink, use the whole milk instead of the 2%
  • For a richer drink, substitute the milk for chocolate milk or add in chocolate syrup to taste – you can either drizzle the syrup in the glass right before pouring the liquid in, or you can add it to the martini shaker before pouring the mixture in the glass
  • For a stronger mint flavor, add in a few drops of peppermint extract to the martini shaker
