Zero Proof Holiday Mocktail: Warm Pumpkin Spice Au Lait
The perfect drink to fill your cup when you want to cozy up to the fireplace or settle down with friends to watch a movie.
This recipe makes 6-8 8 oz. servings.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 cups whipping cream
- 1 15 oz. can of pumpkin puree
- ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Utensils
- Whisk
- Small bowl
- Medium Sauce pans
- 6-8 8 oz. glasses
Directions
- Combine cinnamon, gloves, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger in a small bowl. Mix and set aside.
- Combine milk, cream, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat
- Stir until sugar is dissolved
- Whisk in pumpkin until well-blended
- Whisk in vanilla extract and the bowl of spices
- Simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes
- Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh whipped cream and more spices – serve immediately
Tips and Substitutions
- For a dairy-free version, use equivalent amounts of coconut or almond milk and 4 tsp. of maple syrup
