Every fall, more than 55 million children head back to school in the United States. This means that 16 percent of the population is en route to and from school each day.
To reduce dangerous distractions and the number of deaths on our roads, the Minnesota State Legislature passed the Hands-Free bill in April, and the bill was signed by Governor Tim Walz.
