During the last 12 months, AAA delivered over 32 million roadside calls. Although our roadside assistance is the most important reason why people join AAA, it certainly is not the only reason. In fact, roadside assistance is NOT the most frequently used benefit of a AAA membership. By far the most frequently used benefit is the Discounts & Rewards program available to AAA members. Since we have over 120,000 national and local participating merchants across the country, it is difficult to track every transaction, but we do track the member transactions with most of our national partners. A conservative estimate is that our members receive discounts inover100 million transactions each year, with an average annual member savings exceeding the cost of their AAA membership.

Also, as we approach the shopping season, I would like to remind our members that our membership includes the basic level coverage with “ProtectMyID” product from Experian. The basic product includes Experian Credit Monitoring, Lost Wallet Protection and Fraud Resolution Support. Both the “Deluxe” and “Platinum” coverages are available at discounted rates.

Finally, we will be releasing a new discount program in 2024 called “Card-linked Discounts and Rewards.” When you link your favorite credit card to our discount platform, you will automatically receive discounts or cash rebates from thousands of participating merchants, even if you were not aware of their offers at the time of purchase. All you need to do is to purchase using the credit card you have linked to our site. Further announcements will be made as the product is launched.
